This universal gesture of celebration lies at the heart of all communities.
We say ‘Cheers’, ‘Mma manu’, ‘Yam sing’ to the parents who make sure there’s always a carton in the fridge, to the hard working dairy farmers, to the organisations who provide dairy supplements to help tackle famine and malnutrition, to the huge network of people who help us to enjoy milk.
As we share our love for milk, we connect with others and invite them to join the celebration that the goodness represents. It allows us to share the stories about all the goodness of milk and all the people who produce it. It offers a simple, natural way to recognize the people who matter most to us — in our communities, schools and homes.
This year, our theme will focus on Sustainability in the dairy sector with messages around the environment, nutrition and socio-economics. In doing so we will re-introduce dairy farming to the world.
We encourage you to talk about the important contributions of the dairy sector to:
- Good food, health and nutrition
- Farmers caring responsibly for their communities, the land and their animals
- Sustainability practices in the dairy sector
- How dairy contributes to economic development and livelihoods
