We are counting on all of you to participate again or for the first time in the #WorldMilkDay celebrations. You can host an event (such as open houses at dairy farms, milk donations to schools and NGOs, photo contests, sports competitions, fairs, dance shows, parties, nutrition conferences, tastings, exhibitions, food carts, and milk bars) or just join the conversation on social media using #WorldMilkDay.
Any activity counts as an event, just make sure to register so that you are included in the celebrations.

Helping Hands Craft Club is a community-driven non-profit organization dedicated to supporting local community groups and charities and individuals within Grey County through the sale of handmade crafts, and loving crafters. Part of the club is a group called The Bag Ladies. The Ladies collect milk bags ( the big outside ones) and turn them into sleeping mats to hand out to the needy world wide. The milk bag mats offer to people without bed, an invaluable, durable and washable alternative to sleeping on the often cold and damp ground. Not only can these milk-bag mats provide comfort as a bedding alternative, but have been used by health-care professionals as a make-ready substitute for an operation bed/table where resources are scarce. it takes approximately 400 milk bags to make one adult size mat. We collect the bags, but into strips, tie together the weave or crochet into mats. We donate our mats to Milk Bag Unlimited (https://milkbagsunlimited.ca/). They send them to the homeless in Canada, Syrian refugees in Greece and other countries when natural disasters strikes. The mats are also regularly sent to Burkina Faso, Brazil, Doninica, El Salvador and many other counties. Milk Bags Unlimited also empower the women in the Third World Countries to create many products from floor mats to hand bags with milk bags shipped to them along with tools. The women work, sell and make money to support their families.

We’ll implement a worldwide rally leading up to World Milk Day (1 June) and ask dairy companies/organizations to: Participate in a three-day rally (29-31 May) and post GDP-created content or their own content laddering up to the themes of Nutrition, Community and Enjoyment (one theme designated for each day). Activate their own influencers to share original content or created content to amplify awareness Utilize #EnjoyDairy on all posts as the common denominator to tie the initiative together along with their organization’s own hashtag to increase exposure and awareness.

Now on its 2nd year, Robinsons Supermarket celebrates "Share A Glass of Milk," a program which hopes to educate consumers about the benefits of drinking milk through exciting promotions and activities from May 15 to to June 15, 2019. A donation of a glass of milk will also be given to chosen beneficiary for select purchases of milk products during this period. Promotion covers all Robinsons Supermarket branches nationwide. A ceremonial turnover will be held on June 1, 2019 at RP Antipolo. "Share A Glass of Milk" will be part of a two month program (May 1 - June 30) entitled, Fit Kids. Latter is Robinsons Supermarket's annual program to encourage kids and their parents to eat healthy, practice proper hygiene and be active. Exciting promotions on wellness products and activities will be held during this period. A special on-the-ground activity will be held on May 31-June 2 at Robinsons Place Antipolo.

WE WILL HOST THREE SHOWS A WEEK TOWARDS THE RUN UP TO THE MAIN COMMEMORATION. THE FINAL ACTIVITY WILL BE A ROAD SHOW WHICH WILL BE HOSTED AT A POPULAR FLEA MARKET IN SAKUBVA. FOR THE RADIO PROGRAMMES THE PRESENTERS WILL BE CHOSEN FROM NUTRITIONIST, DIETICIANS, NURSES ETC WHO WILL SPEAK ON THE IMPORTANCE OF MILK. THE FINAL SHOW WILL INVOLVE MORE THAN TWO THOUSAND PEOPLE WHO WILL GATHER FOR THE PERFORMANCE WITH LIVE ENTERTAINMENT.
