The World Milk Day celebration was organized  by Indian Dairy Association  Kerala Chapter in association with College of Dairy Science and Technology on 01-06-2019 at VKIDFT. World milk day Flag was hoisted  and flavored milk was distributed among the delegates, staff and students. It was followed  by a Milk quality Awareness Training programme named JEEVA arranged for college students of science colleges. 

Indian Dairy Association (IDA), established in 1948 is one of the largest professional organizations that functions as the apex body of the Indian dairy industry by knitting the dairy fraternity together. The members include farmers, representatives from the co-operatives, corporate bodies, educational institutions, and government/ public/private sectors. IDA has its Head Quarter is in New Delhi ; Zonal branches in Bangalore, Kolkata, Mumbai and Delhi; state chapters in Kerala, Gujarat, Rajasthan, Punjab, Bihar, Haryana, Tamil Nadu and Andhra Pradesh. Established in 2004, IDA (Kerala chapter) functioning at College of Dairy Science and Technology, Mannuthy, Thrissur is acknowledged as one of the most vibrant chapters of Indian Dairy association.
