Small Breeds for Small Holder Rearing System

A unit of five lactating small breeds like Malnadgidda would help a small holder. The farmer can sustain the dairy production on growing green fodder as intercrop and get good Desi cow milk and milk products. Investment on dairy animals is less. The animals are disease resistant and produce calf a year.
