Challenge and the "Don'tRush" challenge, *#RaiseAGlass* aims to disseminate information about Calcium-Vitamin D rich food sources and other practices promoting Bone health. For eg., Drinking milk ?, eating cheese ? and curd, aerobic exercises?♀, so forth and so on! Directions: ? Make a short (5-10 second) video of a Bone-health related activity, like in the examples above or something much MORE interesting (Aim for the latter!)? ? Post it on any of the following social media platforms: Insta, FB, Twitter, and if possible, *nominate 3 Allies to take it up too!* (Post it with a HASHTAG!?) ?What if lactose intolerant? What if one doesn't like milk? What about those who can't afford it? ? Then suggest alternatives and better options! People could use that information! ? The International Dairy Federation (IDF) will host a virtual ‘raise a glass’ event on 1 June! The event will include a very short introduction by IDF President Dr Judith Bryans to celebrate World Milk Day’s 20th anniversary, and then IDF experts from around the globe will toast to World Milk Day (with a glass of milk of course) IDF’s ‘Raise a (virtual) glass to World Milk Day 2020’, will be held at 14.00 CET on 1 June.

Dairy Discovery will be celebrating World Milk Day, Monday, June 1st with an unprecedented event: a 24-hour livestream event on the Dairy Discovery Facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/DairyDiscovery/). The World Milk Day Live-Streaming Telethon is a new-age telethon. The telethon starts at 12:00 AM (EST) on June 1st and will end at midnight. Every hour will be filled with a featured dairy product, entertainment and activities, educational stations around the farm and an “Interview with an Expert” which includes people from the Netherlands and UK, Oregon, Minnesota, Wisconsin and more. Dairy Discovery hopes to raise $16,000 from this event which will be used to support programming as well as fill the budget gap that was created from cancelled field trips and community outings due to COVID-19. A consumer workshop “nutrition and cheese” has been held on May 31st, à La Crèmerie, the official flagship of French Dairy Products in Shanghai, China. A cheese expert from La Crèmerie and a pediatrician from Shanghai shared their insights and knowledge about the benefits of cheeses for kids, the precautions to take, and recipes and tips about preparing French cheese for kids to enjoy. Influencers from the ‘moms community’ were invited to this workshop and shared their experience in the Chinese social media. In honor of World Milk Day on June 1st, Stop & Shop is partnering with New England dairy farmers to turn one of their store parking lots into a milk drive for local Rhode Island hunger relief agencies. Stop & Shop is donating 8,262 half gallons of milk in an effort to address the growing demand for nutritious food for those in need. Rhode Island food pantries and other agencies will bring their vehicles to this central location to pick up milk, then distribute it to their local communities and clients.
